Wishlist 2016: Gifts for her and for home

It's that time of year again... Christmas is approaching, but first, my birthday. It's a biggie. Here are a few of the things I have my eye on, which might provide some inspiration for present purchases this year. Let's go!

Gifts for the home

One: I'm in love with the colours of this woven wall-hanging from Mo & Mum
Two: Stubby beeswax candles are a winter essential - these from Toast icon
Three: Pretty tin hearts in a glass dome from Graham & Greene
Four: Definitely feeling like we need more pictures on the wall and I love these glass frames in three sizes from The Hambledon
Five: Adore these brilliant artist pots from Plumo - but which artist to choose?
Six: Hello! Super cool yellow HELLO from Stil Homeware
Seven: When your birthday is in December, an extra special advent calendar is a must. Moomins, please!
Eight: For when you can't be bothered with lighting tea lights, this essential oil diffuser from Muji is where it's at

Gifts for the beauty lover

One: Cos does awesome jewellery – take this mixed material bangle
Two: My new favourite find, this Restoration Oil from Oskia iconis MAGIC
Three: I'm in love with this delicate metal ball necklace. Cos again
Four: If you've ever watched your kids open a Kinder Surprise Egg and been envious, this Etta French candle from Nisi Living is the adult equivalent. Light it, and when the wax burns down you'll find a little pouch inside containing a piece of jewellery!
Five: Leather and metal bangles from Cos
Six: Another Oskia iconfind, this Rose de Mai candle burns to a massage oil or nourishing body oil
Seven: This Cos necklace really reminds me of a sort that was popular with my mum's friends back in the eighties. I dig it

Gifts for the fashion fan

One: There's something very lovely about the idea of a lux woollen hoodie – this one from Gap
Two: Properly in love with these Toast iconhemp mittens. Aren't they fab?
Three: This one's been on my list for years – the Bella Freud Ginsberg is God jumper. Have you heard of Octer? Think of it as a digital shopping mall with every products from the top 200 stores, showing it all from high street, high-end, discount and online-only in one place, with option to compare items. So easy! (And if I can't have the jumper? The perfume please.)
Four: Gorgeous, gorgeous, soft and sparkly hand warmers from The White Company
Five: When you work from home, good slippers are a must. These insanely cosy sheepskin boots are from Plumo
Six: Have I mentioned the Robyn dress from Boden before? No??
Seven: ...and a soft cashmere Boden cardie to match
Eight: This beautiful billowy skirt is from Cos

Bits and bobs – a random gift list

One: Rather than a new tattoo, I've got my eye on this Mom deco from The Hambledon
Two: If there's a lovelier camera bag going I'm yet to discover it. This is the Roam Camera Bag from The Future Kept
Three: Pastiglie Leone sweets are another of Italy's glorious exports. This tin is the sort of thing us old ladies just have lying about, right?
Four: I'm intrigued by this book by Will Darbyshire, the YouTuber who took to social media for answers about love after his relationship went south. Here, those responses are compiled in a fascinating and intimate look at This Modern Love
Five: I'm yet to get my hands on a print copy of Dumbo Feather but I just know I'm going to love it. The mag offers quarterly conversations with extraordinary people
Six: The School of Life is my go-to shop for interesting gifts. These Small Pleasures cards celebrate beauty in overlooked things, a theme I'm fascinated by right now
Seven: Turning 40 cements my tea-drinking career. I'm giving myself a promotion with these glorious Mariages Freres French Breakfast teabags
Eight: Proper trip down memory lane, this one. My brother and I were practically brought up by Mario and Luigi, now re-released in this Nintendo Classic Mini, pre-loaded with 30 games

And there you have it, over 30 gifts for the, ahem, just over 30-year-old woman in your life. What would you buy? And, more importantly, what's on your list? Hope you've been good this year!
