Project Simplify: one thing

Before via here

It's June. For this month's Project Simplify, I am focusing on one thing. One small area of nuisance, and one easy solution to improve and simplify. Our kitchen worktops are beautiful, hardwood, reclaimed school science lab benches. They are vast and deep. They are perfect for storing all kinds of rubbish: bills, school letters, errant Lego, confiscated contraband, and, generally, plenty of junk. It isn't the best look.

I've been trying to come up with a solution for a while now, and I think Ikea's Raskog trolley might be it. Three shelves, wheels, not too cumbersome, vintage-y style: perfect. Let's call it an experiment. We'll use the trolley to store all those odds and ends, and on the first of the month we'll clear it out. I'm not going to be too hard on myself; this kind of clutter is inevitable. We just need a way to manage it better.

How about you? What one thing would improve your life?

If you feel like linking up, this one's open until the end of June. Thanks to Gillian and Emily for their wonderful entries to last month's PS - inspired!
