Last night I went to the preview of the Jamaica Street Artists open studios weekend. Featuring some of the best work in the city, this fantastic weekend allows a glimpse into the world of Bristol art. Exciting stuff. I love the work of JSA artists Ant Garratt, Serena Curmi, Andrew Hood, Philip Munoz, and Anouk Mercier.
Anouk's work is hyper detailed drawings made in pencil, resulting in dream-like scenes of waterfalls, Bavarian landscapes and remote cabins. Beautiful.
JSA open studios is on all weekend, culminating in a mini canvas auction on Sunday at 4pm. Well worth a visit - I might need to go back for more.
