Vegan skincare review | Green People Organic Youth Oy!

Following on from yesterday's post about our burgeoning tweens, today I'm handing over the keyboard to Arthur, ten years old, who was sent some products by Green People to try out. Their new range is called OY! which stands for Organic Youth, and every product in the range is formulated for teenage skin. Over to Arthur...

Being the first time I've used skin-care products, I’m very amazed at how good this actually is. I feel it is a lot better than leading brands and great for children. This product is made purely from natural ingredients and smells just like nature and the great outdoors!
Keeping with the nature side, all products are cruelty free (meaning no products are tested on animals). My favourite out of the bunch that I was lucky enough to test is probably the green tea moisturiser or the tea tree and willow bark face wash. I've used both a lot. Both of these great products are pretty much 100% organic and are great to use.

Other products in the range include purifying serum and concealer which I have not used yet but I think they'll be good because Green People has been going for 20 years so they must be doing something right!

And that's where his review ends (I'll forgive him the abruptness seeing as it's SATS season and he's got a lot going on in his brain!).

From my perspective, I wasn't really sure where to shop for skincare products for kids. Thinking back to my own teenage years, I wasn't plagued with problem skin so made do with either cast-offs from my mum or whatever basic soap etc was kicking around in the bathroom. My brother went through the usual trial and error with incredibly pongy Lynx and the like, mainly because there just weren't that many options.

I adore Green People anyway so it's great to see such a brilliant company thinking of younger customers and making sure they can avoid petrochemical nasties too, not just us discerning grown ups. The products are suitable for age 8+ and the range includes a 3-step skin care routine (face wash, moisturiser and treatment serum), and a blemish concealer to naturally calm the skin and improve the appearance of breakouts. The range also includes a natural roll-on deodorant. Prices start from £9.50 for the roll-on deodorant.

What did you use on your skin as a tween/teen?
Would you buy organic for your kids?
Leave me a comment and let me know.

Disclosure:
We were sent the OY! range by Green People for the purposes of this unpaid review but all words and images are our very own (the concept of needing to remain impartial was an interesting conversation to have with Arthur!).
