|A portrait of my children once a week, every week in 2013|
A: Just like his daddy
T: Like no-one I've ever met before
A busy week means a quiet blog; lots going on here. And we're gearing up to go back to school, and I'm not sure I'm ready (the kids most definitely are). Actually, it's that I'm not ready to say goodbye to summer for another year... Last winter was so very long; the big freeze lasted eight months. Eight months! That's 2/3 of a year. No amount of warming soup or snuggly socks can counteract that.
Luckily, the forecast for the rest of this week is hot. Indian summer, yes please. Time for one last mow of the lawn, a final spritz of sun lotion, and a bit more hammock-swinging. I'll be holding on tight to the feeling of going barefoot on the lawn and leaving the back doors open, closing my eyes and committing it all to memory before it's lost for another year.
